I recently sent a package to S E Asia and was told it would take between 1 -5 working days. It actually left Canterbury on Thursday, the day I took it into Rymans and arrived at its destination the following Monday morning.
I'd just like to thank all your staff for their help in this transaction.

I have recently sent my documents to Thailand with a DHL servicepoint in Coventry and I find it is very simple! Ryman, the servicepoint, is conveniently located in the city centre and their staff is very helpful. The envelope arrives in a good condition, and it only took 2 days! (compare to Parcelforce who achieves the same goal but charges a lot more). I will definitely use DHL again next time, and will recommend this service to my friends. I think DHL should advertise more about the servicepoints, since I only find out online.

I recently used the Post Office Service for overseas mail Airsure which took 10 days to deliver to San Javier in Murcia although their advertising states about 3 working days. I only found out about DHL's service last week the same delivery destination from the East Midlands took under two days with DHL and was fully tracked throughout. It is worth the extra cost because it actually does what it says on the tin. The staff in WH Smith, Burton on Trent were great. I think DHL needs to advertise their link up with Rymans, WH Smiths and Staples more because I was completely unaware and thought DHL courier services was only for business customers.

I arrived just before closing time in store and the staff particulary Andy went out of their way to help me despatch 60 second hand books to a remote destination in the Himalayas. The books are to
start a childrens library with the organisation iSpiice that operate with volunteer placements in various projects in Himachel Pradesh, India. I had found while working with the children that they only had two books to choose from.

Yours was the only company that was reliable and fast. The staff in Ryman Stationery, Bridlington, East Yorkshire should be congratulated on their customer service, thankyou for going that extra mile for me, well done.

I discovered DHL in JAN 2010 and their service has been great. My family live in the most remotest part of the world. For many years I used Royal mail and pray to God for the parcel to my nieces and nephews. But now thanks to DHL, it takes them three days to recieve parcels from the UK...I WAS A BIT DISAPPOINTED ONCE when DHL opened my parcel and did not close it properly, by the time the parcel arrived some of the clothes were missing but nevertheless, I will sill give them 99%. Keep up the spirit DHL.

When i lived in Nigeria, I used DHL and recommended you to everyone I knew for fast and reliable services, living in England I still use you, but a few days ago I sent a couple of games and children's clothing (for my children) to Nigeria, and the person I addressed it to was called to come and clear it at customs.

It was cleared for around the equivalent of £80, after paying £69.95 so as to meet a deadline for my daughters prom, I am really upset as I had no idea you had to pay customs duty on childrens clothing especially as it was such a small box and was not for resale, I will still use your service but only for documents.

Thank you for your recent comments regarding the DHL service. We are very sorry to hear of your issues with Nigeria customs. However, we can only stress that DHL (or any other courier company) has no control over local custom departments and any duties applied is enforced by the country custom authorities.

We try our up most to highlight that duties may be be applied when sending goods internationally by including information within the leaflet, the information pad, the receipt wallet and the air way bill - all of which can be found instore when sending your parcel.

Once again, we are very sorry to hear of your issues and hope you continue to use the DHL service in future months.

After using royal mail for parcels to the U.S.A. I saw DHL services offered at my local Rymans. Parcels with royal mail took 5-12 weeks! padded envelopes 2 weeks. DHL had my parcel delivered in less than 48 hours. For security reasons mail had been opened and a birthday present which I had wrapped up. Which had been sealed again. In future I will leave cards & letters unsealed and presents unwrapped. The prices charged were not expensive compared to Royal Mail charges. Well done DHL.

I will be using your services again soon.

The service in the ServicePoint shop was very good and overall the tracking was good but on the first day I got a message saying 'recipient refused delivery', which was not correct it had been taken back to the delivery depot for the next day, this caused me a lot of concern.

The parcel was delivered the next day but there was a big hole in the front of the box about as big as a fist and three of the items were damaged, it did have Fragile written on the box but obviously this was ignored.

We are very sorry to hear that your parcel arrived at its destination damaged and can only apologise on behalf of DHL. When we receive any feedback regarding damaged parcels, we do take this matter extremely seriously and have since spoken with the pick up and delivery depots to try and ascertain where the damage was incurred.

We strive to make sure all customer parcels are delivered in exactly the same condition as sent, our efforts have been recognised with damage claims for 2009 being 0.002%.
