There are some obvious things that you cannot send with DHL (such as animals, illegal substances, guns and explosives for instance). But there are also less obvious items that DHL can’t transport, including aerosols, perfumes, aftershaves, eau de toilettes and cash. See below to find out what you cannot send.
For international carriage there may be additional prohibited items specified by the country of destination.
Please be advised that we are unable to ship any clinical testing kits, whether new or used, via our DHLitNow or DHL Service Point services at this time. Clinical testing kits can only be sent by approved account holders to ensure proper handling.
Anti-infection Personal Protection Equipment can no longer be sent outside of the EU. This includes face masks, face shields, protective gloves, protective mouth or nose guards and protective garments. This is EU law intended to protect the supply within the EU and takes effect immediately.
In addition to all EU countries, PPE is still acceptable for shipping to a limited number of other countries and territories.
