GoGreen Plus With Emissions Reduced Shipping
As the world’s leading logistics company, it’s our mission to connect people and improve lives whilst being committed to reducing our environmental impact.
Our sustainability strategy goals include increasing our use of sustainable aviation fuels, designing all new buildings with sustainability in mind and electrifying our last-mile delivery. We will also reduce CO2 emissions from our network on any parcel sent internationally when dropped off at a DHL Express Service Point through the purchase of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). We don’t currently offer emission-reduced shipping when booking a collection with us online or over the phone.
EMISSION-REDUCED DELIVERY
What is GoGreen Plus?
GoGreen Plus is a dedicated solution to help individuals and businesses reduce the carbon emissions within the network through which their international shipment travels by the use of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). SAF is a biofuel which is produced from renewable sources such as vegetable oils, animal fats, waste products, and crops. SAF is specifically designed to be used as a substitute for traditional jet fuel and can reduce lifecycle greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80% compared to fossil fuels.
DHL SUSTAINABILITY PROJECTS
What other sustainability initiatives is DHL Express currently undertaking?
DHL Express is dedicated to a diverse portfolio of sustainability projects. We actively champion the advancement of sustainable aviation and the development of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) production plants. Embracing energy efficiency, we're enhancing our facilities with solar and wind generation, thermal roofs, air and ground source heat pumps, as well as implementing rainwater harvesting and water recycling systems.
These efforts represent a glimpse of our comprehensive sustainability commitments at DHL Express, as we strive to lead the way and set an industry benchmark for environmental stewardship.
OUR GOGREEN JOURNEY
How else is DHL improving its carbon footprint?
With our mission to achieve net-zero emissions by 2050, we strive for clean operations for climate protection. We are doing this by committing ourselves to a set greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions target by 2030 in line with the Paris Agreement through the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) and investing €7 billion to reach it. With this investment, we will increase our use of sustainable aviation fuels, design all new buildings with sustainability in mind, offer a comprehensive portfolio of green products and electrify 60% of our last-mile delivery. Then we will have more than 80,000 e-vehicles on the road.
