It's no good trusting some couriers to tell you if you have had a missed delivery and when they are going to redeliver because often they don't, nor do they give you any opportunity to tell them when you will be in. I hate this, and it makes me very anxious. But DHL has an excellent tracking and information system and one I'm sure ups the percentage of successful deliveries. I was sent a text message (on a Sunday!) regarding delivery the next day which enabled me to go online and rearrange the delivery day. Then I got another text on my chosen day telling me which 2 hour time slot they anticipated delivering, and I was able to track the progress of the driver online. It is so very useful being able to choose and be in control of what day you have your delivery. Thank you DHL. I would definitely prefer ordering goods online from companies who use DHL as their courier.

It was delivered within the timeframe they'd said, but when leaving they slammed the gate, and sprung it off its hinges. A neighbour pointed it out just after the delivery, and helped me replace it. I've lived here over 20 years and it's never happened before. No complaints otherwise, but please ask them to be more careful, and don't slam!

The prices within DHL are inconsistent. Parcels sent from Kenya to the UK appear to cost much more than from the UK to Kenya. You dont have any free customer service line. No place on social media where customers can raise such issues.

My husband died 4 weeks ago whilst undertaking a trek to Everest Base Camp raising money for Charity. Getting his belongings returned has been an arduous process. However, Shaun from DHL Cardiff was very kind . I unfortunately missed his knock on the door . However I was able to contact him and he amended his route so he could get the belongings to me as soon as possible . He was very thoughtful and shared some kind words with me when he arrived . I am very grateful .

I'm not sure who the delivery driver was this morning but he was SO polite and friendly this morning it's made my day. Usually other delivery drivers are grump or stressed but this man was calm, polite and friendly! I hope he sees this! Thank you!!

Good luck finding a drop off point
The DHL website is hopelessly out of date. I have visited 3 sites in 2 different cities and all 3 sites no longer act as drop off points. Read more

Booking on line doesn't give sufficient information. I booked a delivery to Philippines, put value £ 200.00. According to the rules in Philippines value above $ 198.00 is a subject to tax payable by a receiver. It was a gift, how can one expect a receiver to pay tax. The items I sent were used curtains. The information about the amount of payable tax must be on DHL website. Calls to DHL are not free in order to ask a question over the phone. On top of £ 172 for shipment I had to pay £ 87 tax duty in order the receiver could receive the goods. Very disappointed with DHL website.
